Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Orlando Magical Dining Experience
Looking for a definitive review of the Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse experience during Orlando Magical Dining? This high-end establishment on Orlando’s Restaurant Row is consistently one of the more expensive tiered options in the prix-fixe promotion, and our recent visit gave us a taste of what the elevated price point delivers—and where it falls short.
Starter: A Perfect Lobster Bisque
The meal began on a high note with the lobster bisque. It was truly delicious, showcasing the kind of rich, well-executed flavor profile one expects from a top-tier steakhouse. This course set a high expectation for the rest of the dinner.

Entrée: Filet Mignon – Quality Meat, Small Portion
For the main course, the filet mignon was the choice, and the quality of the USDA Prime beef was evident—it was very delicious. However, as is common with many high-end steakhouses, and perhaps even more pronounced on the Magical Dining menu, the entrée came à la carte.
- The Caveat: The filet did not include a side dish. While the steak itself was excellent, the need to purchase sides separately (like the pricey Shareable Sides often priced around $18–$20) added unexpected cost and highlighted the smaller portion size of the main plate.

Dessert: Cheesecake Falls Short
The final course, cheesecake, was a letdown. It was “not bad,” but lacked the quality and excitement expected from a top-tier restaurant. At the high price of this particular Magical Dining experience, the dessert course should be memorable, not just adequate. Other reviews have praised a creamy cheesecake in the past, but our experience at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Orlando was disappointing.

The Bottom Line: Value and Revisit Potential
Fleming’s participation in Magical Dining offers a chance to sample their premium offerings, including their Prime steak, at a set price. However, the combination of the high price tier, the noticeably small portion sizes (especially for the entrées without included sides), and the underwhelming dessert led to a feeling of less-than-ideal value.
While the service at Fleming’s is generally noted as attentive, the overall experience didn’t overcome the issue of portion-to-price ratio. For those whose priority is to leave feeling completely satisfied and who don’t want to incur extra costs for side dishes, the small portions and extra cost would be a significant deterrent for us from going back outside of the promotion.
Key Takeaway: Fleming’s delivers on the quality of their main ingredients, like the filet mignon and lobster bisque, but be prepared for a less complete meal experience unless you are willing to spend more on additional sides.
