Pier 22 in Bradenton, FL – Waterfront Dining with a View You Won’t Forget
If you’re visiting Bradenton, Florida and searching for a scenic, laid-back spot to grab a great meal, Pier 22 Bradenton, FL should be at the top of your list. Nestled along the mouth of the Manatee River, this waterfront restaurant delivers one of the best dining views in town, with a menu that (mostly) lives up to the scenery.

First Impressions: Clean, Stylish, and Inviting
From the moment you step into Pier 22, you’ll notice how well-maintained the space is. The restaurant is spotless, the ambiance welcoming. The interior design blends modern coastal elements with comfort—faux wood tile floors, sleek wood accents, clean lines, and a striking large fish tank near the entrance that immediately sets the mood.

There’s a full-service bar both indoors and outdoors, with the outdoor bar opening onto an expansive, fully covered patio. This patio is where Pier 22 really shines. Breezy, shaded, and surrounded by views of boat docks, bridges, and sparkling water—it’s the perfect backdrop whether you’re catching up with friends or just relaxing solo with a drink.

Service: Friendly but Stretched Thin
Our server was warm, friendly, and clearly doing his best—but it was obvious he had too many tables to manage comfortably. While he was polite and professional throughout, drink refills were slow, and our tiny glasses stayed empty a bit too long. It didn’t ruin the experience, but the service pace didn’t quite match the quality of the setting or food.
If the restaurant had a few more hands on deck, it would make a noticeable difference.

What We Ordered: Fresh, Flavorful (Mostly)
I ordered the fried grouper sandwich with fries, and it did not disappoint. The fish was fresh, flaky, and crispy—clearly prepared to order—and the fries were golden and just salty enough. A solid pick if you’re into seafood.

Two of my guests went for the flatbread pizzas, and those also earned high marks. They came out with a perfectly crisp crust and were topped with fresh ingredients. Flavorful, balanced, and not overloaded with cheese or sauce—just right.

One guest tried the burger with bacon and a fried egg. While the toppings sounded promising, they were a bit underwhelmed. The bacon wasn’t as crispy as they like, and the patty didn’t seem especially fresh. Not a disaster, but definitely not the star of the meal.

Pier 22 Bradenton, FL The Verdict: Worth a Visit for the View—and Most of the Menu
Despite the minor miss on the burger and the slow drink refills, the overall experience at Pier 22 was great. Between the incredible waterfront view, stylish atmosphere, and mostly spot-on food, this place hits the mark. It’s the kind of restaurant that invites you to slow down, sip something cold, and enjoy where you are.

Whether you’re staying in Bradenton or just passing through, Pier 22 is a must-visit. Come for the view, stay for the breezy patio, and enjoy a taste of Florida on the waterfront.
