When visiting the vibrant food scene near Orlando, Florida, the Hangry Bison is a popular pick, especially for burger lovers. Located in a lively area, this restaurant catches your eye with its modern décor—think jar lighting and garage doors, giving a trendy, inviting vibe. The atmosphere reflects the Hangry Bison’s personality: relaxed, casual, and modern.

Custom Burgers Galore

What truly sets the Hangry Bison apart is its unique burger menu. Each diner gets a checklist of countless burger options, allowing full customization with classic and creative toppings alike. Some unusual options include bourbon bacon jam, mac & cheese, and even Wisconsin cheese curds! I opted to build my own burger with my favorite toppings, pairing it with a side of sweet potato fries. Both the burger and fries were delicious—well worth the visit.

The manager personally apologized and generously offered a complimentary dessert as compensation. While I appreciated the gesture, the long wait did dampen the overall experience.

While the Hangry Bison serves up an exceptional custom burger and provides a fun, modern atmosphere, the extended wait time keeps it from being my top pick. That said, if you’re a burger enthusiast who appreciates variety, the Hangry Bison is worth a visit, especially if you’re not in a rush.
